My name is Laurian, the owner of this Home Based Business Training site.
I was born in 1956 in Dar Es Salaam, the capital city of the United Republic of Tanzania and I am a Tanzanian. I got my primary and secondary education in Tanzania and in 1978 I went for a short one year course in India at Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College. From 1980 to 1984 I studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania where I graduated with an Hons degree. I worked as a Curriculum Developer for six years at the Institute of Curriculum Development, a government institution in Dar Es Salaam before turning into self employment in 1991. I am married with three children, one son and two daughters.

I have been on the internet marketing industry for about two years (as of December 2013) and has had some good and bad experiences since then. A lot is being said about internet marketing, there are those who critically refute any possibility of making an income on the internet and yet there are many who will welcome you with a bunch of programs as soon as you showed interest on finding something that will earn you income on the internet and promise you riches in a very short period of time - the Scams. Where is the truth?

It”s the purpose of setting up this website to show those with interest on making money online what I have practically tested or done and what I think can work basing on my knowledge. Like anything else, you need knowledge of what you want to do and you can get that knowledge through reading by yourself or by getting a training from a person who is the field. Both work well, but I prefer the latter in that you will have to spend less of your time and for sure you”ll get better results for the time you spent.

To get to that objective I decided to write the important topics of internet marketing in simple language for those who want to read for themselves and designed a course to help those who need some special help. As will be noticed, almost everything here revolves around building and promoting a website. If you want to succeed in internet marketing, I think you must have your own website from where to do anything you will choose to, be it marketing your own product or service or selling products for other popular companies i.e. affiliate marketing.

An answer to the obvious immediate question on what is the cost for getting my training here is, for the time being everything is for FREE.

As an idea of what the content of my course is about, I would say I tried to cover all aspects of setting up an internet home based business for the novice from making a good choice of a niche , selecting domain names and hosting, setting up a wordpress website and optimizing it for the search engines. It is my expectation that I will continue to improve it with the help of feedback from my participants to get one of the best courses written on the subject.
